My employer chose to end my employment as I was on probation-therefore not covered under collective agreement for dissmal representation.
I was bullied at work by two employees, who I found out later had previous harrasment complaints filed against them.
I left a decent job to take this permanent one, only to be bullied out the door. I never had performance issues. I tried to address the bully privately to let her know what she did, and how it made me feel. She met with the manager and told the manager that I started yelling at her, which I did not. The manager when we met told me that there were issues with this employee, yet allowed the employee to continue to belittle me.
There was a meeting with the employee, myself and the manager, the manager allowed the employee to stand up, cross her arms and belittle me during the meeting, anytime that i started to speak, the employee would cut me off, and I finally asked the manager to address the issue to let me speak. I said I was feeling uncomfortable with the situation. The result of the meeting was that the manager moved us from sitting beside one another as we worked in "stalls". This was done immediately, another employee who sat at a certain desk for three years was asked to move - and I was to sit at her desk. The other employee (bully) was allowed to stay at her desk.
Anyway, to make a long story short, I am filing a "Disrespectful Workplace" complaint against the Manager. I do know that there is no recourse - and I do know that I do not want to back and work there, it is a toxic work environment. I do want to advise the Headoffice that there is a huge problem at this branch, that needs to be fixed.
I am looking for some guidance to file a complaint that will have impact. |
