Can you help this person? They have a problem with
Workplace Bullying and need some advice.

This is the original problem from an employee...
I am being bullied at work. I work for the provincial government and have 8 years in. I don't want to leave because of my benefits, hours and pay. the problem is, one admin staff actually runs the office. I have been verbally assaulted on more then one occasion and today I snapped and it was ugly. Before this happened I went to my manager, a year ago, and asked to be moved away from her but he never did that. Then two weeks ago I asked again and was told soon. I gave him full disclosure of what was going on. This woman has bullied two admin staff out, one retired and one is now home with crones disease and I am her next target. I can file a grievance but I don't know if that is going to help in anyway. What do I do...I am crying as I drive to work now, I am not sleeping, it is creeping into my personal life.

1. Completely ignore the first reply; it sounds like the bully wrote it.
2. Seek help from your union. (I assume you have one since you spoke of filing a grievance)
3. You might approach your most senior management on site and ask for mediation. (Since this person is bullying administrators, this might not be helpful.
4. Get support and counselling from an outside source if possible.
5. See your doctor and get time off for stress. (Yes it is a "chemical imbalance" but it is created by the bully, not a medical problem you had before.

You should get tape recorder and record everything that this bully dose she seems lkea very sad and un balanced person don't let hr make you feel like that that I Know its easier said then done. Iv been bullied at work for the last 2 years and stood my ground everyone a work could see it but no one was willing to lose there job or be bullied out. My was by management and about a month ago they dismissed me now I am fighting for my cause. I also had time of work with stress last year and when I came back they just pushed me to the side and then a week later accused me of bad behavior and they never sat me down a done a proper back to work and ask me how I was feeling

See a doctor. You should not be crying on your way to work because of bullying. Maybe you have a chemical imbalance. People cannot just move you because you are not able to deal with a bullying co-worker. The fact that they are moving you at all speaks a lot. Hang in there until they move you. Be prepared to go from the frying pan into the fire. The next bully may be a lot worse.
