I held a position for several years at my company and they decided to restructure the department. I was very concerned that this "new" approach would not be financially viable and after three years with a new employee in place to do this particular job, it was to say the least a disaster. Instead of my boss coming back to me and asking if I would again take the position back, and bring it back to it's profit making mode, I was told that she was going to bring in her "administrative assistant" to do the job as she didn't want to put her eggs all in one basket by having me do the job. This is the type of job that would be a natural fit as I am already on site at where this takes place. The other lady although is paid 16 additional hours per week, is only in the office one day per week.
In addition, this women has completely taken over my office, rearranging furniture, pulling my stuff down off of the bulletin boards, rearranging desks and even getting rid of my coat closet In addition we are told constantly to mind the bottom line, while this women has ordered brand new fax machines, computer monitors, phones and answering machines etc. Bottom line is my boss does not like me and she feels that I am a threat to her authority. This has been noted by many of my other co-workers all of which are hesitant to speak up for fear of reprisal. Any suggestions? |
