This is the original problem from an employee...
Me and my partner are very happy together. Been living together since 2010 and were going to get married. However their is a big age difference between us. I'm 35 and she's 24. Not only that but she looks young for her age and still gets carded. Needs a passport to show that she's over 18 for us here in the uk. She is everything to me and I will forsake all others till the ends of our life and she feels the same about me. We are closer than family.
But here's the problem. People won't accept us as a couple. Yelling abuse at us because of the age Difference. Now for me I take it all in hand but it's not me I worry about. It's my partner. At work people are cornering her all the time. Telling her that we should not be together. That she should go out with some one her own age. Some people keep insisting on going out on dates. One person started phone stalking her until I picked up the phone. Another person called her my whore and that I was brain washing her. She has complained upwards before but as she is a part time supervisor and that the cleaning company has a high staff turnover.  the general approach  is that she should just get on with things and deal with it. As they have a high staff turnover people are often coming and going. Even if one person is sacked then another will turn up thinking they can do pretty much what they like and will
Try it on. Upper management won't really do much more than the general token firing of someone. What can we do. Only thing I can think of is leave but we need the income.
