In my place of employment, my supervisor is the superintendent of the administration department and my father is superintendent of the process department. Because of poor accounting practices by my supervisor, the superintendent of the process department has questioned and put pressure on my supervisor to make changes to increase efficiency. Over the past couple of months, my supervisor has gotten on me and raised her voice on several occasions. All instances were not because she found me doing something wrong in my job responsibilities, but because of the pressure my father had been putting on her.
I have worked for the company for about a year and there was previously two or three occasions on which this occurred. But, as previously mentioned, the instances have occurred on a frequent, continual basis. I would view this as retaliation because of my genetic information.
With some prior exposure to business law, I am aware that this behavior should not be occurring. Please provide me with information regarding Federal Laws and regulations that may be specific to my case. Any and all information with be very helpful and much appreciated.
Thank you.
