This is the original problem from an employee...
Hello everyone. I sure hope someone can give me advice on this topic.

Eight weeks ago I accepted a job. I agreed to a month training period and they flew me out to the Toronto area for training. Since then there has been many issues but I will keep to the problem that I am having right now. I found out from employees at the head office they tell out of town people the training is for four weeks and then keep them up to three months. It has been two months and I have filled their requirements. They said they would be flying me home Friday or Tuesday at the latest. My husband has scheduled out of town construction contract that is to start next Wednesday. He worked around the latest day they said I would be arriving home. My son is scheduled for medical testing on Thursday and we thought this would be good since I would be home and of course we don't want to leave our children home alone.

The company then told me I need another week training!! I told them this isn't going to work and told them why. I even suggested other routes I would do if they think I require further training. I have bent over backwards for this company. My last conversation with management is that I will be returning to my home town on Tuesday but I have no confirmation a flight has been booked. I am getting very nervous. Does anyone have any advice?

How is this possible? I guess you either need the job, or you don't. Prepare your plan B.... that's for sure. At least Toronto is a fantastic city!

Hi,
Seems the company doesn't have a proper communication at all. if they gave you the possible training period, no matter it is 4 weeks or 4 months, you could be prepared for their plan.

Better to explain them your situation and look for a solution. if there is no solution, sad to say that company is not for you.
